Hello friends! Next week I will head to the Furniture Society Conference in Syracuse NY, and will be part of the programming, including mentorship sessions, the Member’s Exhibition, and a lecture with the amazing Andy Buck on Saturday, June 28th. This year’s conference looks awesome, and I can’t wait to see old friends and meet some new ones. Come catch me at Slide Wars, the Keynote talks, the Educator’s Exchange or the Queering Woodcraft meetup! If you’ve missed the online registration, you can always register at the event. I think this will be my 11th FS Conference. I can’t wait!
Furniture Society Conference, June 23-25
My fellow Windgate ITE Residents and I will be giving a presentation at this year's Furniture Society Conference (full disclosure, I'm on the Board of Trustees for the FS, but this marvelous plan was cooked up and implemented by one of the other residents). The presentation takes place on Thursday, June 23rd, from 4 - 5pm and is called, "Seven at the Center: the 2016 ITE Windgate Residents Collaboration Laboratory Presentation."
If you're in Philadelphia and interested in furniture, art, incredible makers and thinkers who love sharing their work with others AND know how to have a good time, I recommend checking out the whole conference schedule - it's not too late to register! Go to http://furnsoc.org/inspiration/annual-conferences/fs16/ for more information, and maybe I'll see you there.
